Comments from Laura: The redside and redbelly dace were still actively spawning this weekend in the nests of creek chubs. Redside and Redbelly dace are indicators of high quality water. Creek chubs are often considered trash fish because they can tolerate human pollution but they are also found in nice streams and make the nests that the dace need to spawn in.
