Turning the feet in biases the hip towards internal rotation to AVOID external rotation. It’s a bit less common than turning the foot out but you will still see it in TONS of movements… walking, running, squatting, so forth. It’s not a BAD thing but it can limit overall motion if it’s the only movement strategy. Exercises that move the hips vertically (like the wall squat) can improve hip external rotation and allow the feet to point forward! #pigeontoed #physicaltherapist #externalrotation | Za
