Hart Square Village is a collection of 103 log cabins and buildings which have been preserved on 200 acres in Vale, North Carolina by Dr. Robert Hart III. This collection of historical structures is the largest in the United States with build dates ranging from 1760 to 1890. Daubing a historic cabin at Hart Square Village in Vale, NC. We used three, five gallon buckets of daub mixture just to fill in one row - your arms dget tired quicker than you’d think! The process to make the daub mixture was a work out too, because you have to use your feet to mix it. (I’ll post that video next). It was such rewarding work learning a new skill and getting better as I went along. Yes, I’ll be going back to work some more anytime they need help. In fact, the Daughters of the Amer
