TWISTER MOTOR PLANNING! Take one Twister game mat and some textured feet (purchased from Kmart) to create a new motor planning sensory gross motor activity! We place the “feet” in whatever pattern we want and the child works on matching their movements. Jump, hop, or walk to move to the other side of the mat. Use your Twister mat in a new way by pairing it with your gym ball. Have your child lie over the ball and walk out on their hands. They can follow the Twister dots to guide distance. We can also place toys on each Twister dot and then walk out to collect the toys and pack them away. We love prone walk outs for vestibular sensory input, upper body strengthening (shoulder, elbow, wrist), palmar arch stability of the hand and core strength.
