My 1961 Martin 000-18 always prompts some vintage @official.martincarthy fingerpickerage. I love this song, “I Sowed Some Seeds”. The problem is that it’s sooooooooo Martin Carthy, it’s impossible to find a way to cover it that isn’t just pure imitation. As @martinsimpsonmusic said at the Carthy tribute concert, you could spend years trying to be Martin Carthy but you’d never manage it.
