Loved being able to see the M/V Joseph L. Block “sail off into the sunset” last night while on the Boatnerd Cruise with the Original Soo Locks Boat Tours! It was a fabulous final boat catch of the night as we made our way to the MacArthur Lock to lock through and head back to the tour boat’s dock The Block was headed for Marquette to load ore and as I type this they are just pulling away from the dock loaded and bound for Toledo so we will see them early tomorrow morning ing which is great.. may

A few minutes ago, the Joseph L Block passed by Mission Point and Rotary park here in Sault Ste Marie after locking through downbound and they are now on their way to Port Inland This is the first ship I managed to capture today lol... at least it's something right!?! :p No salute from the Block this evening... maybe it's the dismal weather 🌂🌧☁️ I am hoping she keeps coming back this way since our list of ships keeps dwindling with so many going into layup now either temporarily or permanently
